Biographical Information
- Rev. Dr. L.M. Cheatham
Rev. Dr. Lawrence
M. Cheatham
Native born in New Jersey, played piano as a child. He also played for
many
churches and Gospel groups, including:
The Utterbach Concert Ensemble.
He played ten years for the Messiah Baptist
Church of E. Orange, NJ, and for more than twenty years at Mt. Zion
Baptist
Church of Boonton, N.J. where he was Choir Master, and Musician.
Later,
he became a trustee, and was called to the Ministry in1974. He was
licensed,
Ordained, and earned a Doctor of Theology Degree in 1992, from the
Christian
College of Rocky Mount, N.C.

Mrs. Vera C.
Cheatham:
A native of MemphisTenn., is a graduate
of
the Memphis School System.
She sang with the
local Teen Town Singers on their local
broadcasts. She came to New Jersey in 1961 and joined Mt. Zion Baptist
Church of Boonton, where she also joined the Choir and directed the
Youth
Group of the church.
There she met her future husband, who was already
a Minister. In 1989 they married, and became a team, working for the
Lord,
singing, and spreading the Word of God. Their Evangelic Ministry has
been
growing ever since.
